This document sets out your consent for the payment of platform fees for additional services performed by Bi-me (Pty) Ltd and does not replace any other disclosure you are entitled to receive in terms of any applicable legislation.
1. General
Bi-me (Pty) Ltd (FSP 51534) provides various services in relation to your commercial insurance policy for, or on behalf of yourself, or on behalf of an insurer, or for acting as an intermediary. For these services Bi-me (Pty) Ltd is remunerated by way of commission and fees which are either paid by the insurer or yourself. Any commission and fees received are paid in terms of applicable legislation and are disclosed to you.
1.1 Platform fees
Platform fees are charged to you for providing additional services for your benefit. Platform fees, like all other fees and commission, will be fully disclosed to you. The deduction and collection of platform fees will be facilitated by the insurer or their appointed premium collection agency. The list below reflects these additional services that we perform in terms of our value proposition to you:
- Website portal:
- 24-hour access to your Policy Portal.
- Automated assistance and templates for any Ombudsman Escalation of claim queries with the Insurer.
- Templates to assist with Third Party Letter of Demands where claims fall within in excess, or the claims is not covered by your Bi-me policy but there is a responsible Third Party.
1.2 Platform fee amount
For the additional services set out above, Bi-me (Pty) Ltd charges a platform fee of R50 (incl. VAT) per month. The platform fee will be charged for as long as the policy is active.
Platform fees will be listed separately from your premium on the invoices we provide.
